Located just a few miles out of Sittingbourne on the A2, lies the quaint village of Bapchild. Inclusive of fellow village, Tonge, the parish had a population of 1.141 at the 2011 Census.

Bapchild Community

With a wonderful and active community, there is also a village hall, public house and fruit stall that are all frequently and lovingly used. The community itself is building, as a few developments are bringing people to the area and allowing for its heart to grow.

The village has its own church, Grade 1 listed Church of St. Lawrence, which Bapchild’s local primary school uses for services, some lessons and assemblies.

Bapchild and Tonge Church of England Primary School and Nursery are the heart of the educational community for children, providing excellent learning opportunities and support for children of pre-school age to 11 years.

Regular buses use the Bapchild route to take you to Sittingbourne, where there is a train station that will take you to London in an hour.

Bapchild Food Stall and Butchers

Open seven days a week, Bapchild Food Stall offers a range of fresh produce to the local community and you will find a rather large annual pumpkin patch to the back of             them every autumn – great for family fun time!

You can find KCD Butchers at the Fruit Shack each Wednesday between 9am – 3pm.

Walk the Saxon Shore Way

Popular to many, the Saxon Shore Way passes along the coastline of the South East. It is an interesting historical walk with much to see and do along the way, and situated     not far from Bapchild. Enjoyed by many, there are various starting points and paces, meaning it is a widely suited walking route.
