Our team here at Harrisons have a really clear ethos. We want to change the perception of estate agency. Unfortunately, and frustratingly, we are an untrusted profession. We want to prove that we couldn’t be further from that – and we are achieving it, one client at a time.
Do you remember the child who wouldn’t stop talking in class? Yes, that was me! Although school wasn’t my forte, I’d always had an inner drive. My ambition was to go into the police, then the fire brigade – but there was a 3-year waiting list.
In 2004, my auntie told me about a job at Harrisons; I applied – and I got it. I’m naturally ambitious, I set myself goals and always seek to work my way to the top – I had my sights firmly fixed on doing the best I could for my clients. By 2019, I was the owner and director of Harrison’s.
I’m blessed to have a lovely wife who is very supportive and two gorgeous kids, one boy aged 21 months and a girl coming up to 4 months. So, as you can imagine, my home-life is as busy as my work! Successfully establishing a work-life balance is a constant challenge, but with my incredible team who all share and are committed to my vision, it’s improving.
I’m a new member to the Harrison’s team, having previously worked in recruitment. I’m not one to like talking about myself, but my boss Chris says I have a lot of drive and confidence – so you’ll just have to take his word on it!
I understand the value of reputation and customer service in my job, and I always strive to understand my customer’s priorities and work tirelessly on their behalf. I always want to be improving my service and in my role, learning is absolutely key to my development – I’m currently undertaking an apprenticeship with the NAEA Propertymark which is all about promoting the highest standards of estate agency.
I’m a local – Sittingbourne born and bred – so if I can help you out with any pieces of local knowledge, just give me a shout. I went to school locally so I really know the area like the back of my hand. Outside of work I enjoy socialising with friends and family – who doesn’t!
I have 2 years’ experience in the property industry and 7 years in sales, previously working in a much different sector selling high-end sport horses. I’m Sittingbourne born and bred, so I’ll give you any local information I can regarding schools, shops and places to visit at the weekend.
I’m driven by doing the very best by our client. I won’t wait for the phone to ring, I’ll make it ring. I know that my clients will want reassurance and communication – and I can be their port of call throughout this process. I’m always open to learning and perfecting my customer service to be the very best consultant possible for our customers.
When I’m not working I enjoy socializing with friends and family. Outside of work, my main hobbies are all related to travel. I love jet setting off to new countries and learning about different cultures, food and languages.
I’ve always loved meeting/connecting with new people and if you have ever met me, you know I love to talk; this is because I am a very passionate person.
I have always been interested in politics from a young age and before entering estate agency, I worked in political organisations and Parliament for a number of MP’s. During that time I was able to help hundreds of people with many complexed and challenging issues, which was extremely rewarding. I have been involved in local politics for a number of years and have stood for election for Swale Borough Council twice first in Milton Regis and then in Woodstock Ward. This has given me a good knowledge of local issues and strong links with local Councillors which serves my clients well, when finding a new home and area to live in.
I have lived in Sittingbourne all my life and I am proud of our town. Sittingbourne, and Swale has so much potential, our town is rising in value exponentially with new regeneration projects happening now. It’s a great place to start a family and raise children as we have great schools and I can attest to that, as I went to them.
My journey into the world of property started at school when, at around age 11 or 12 I was assigned to an estate agency for my work experience placement. I loved it and decided that becoming a surveyor was my ultimate goal.
Harrison’s is not like other estate agents. Here we are a family; we get on so well and have the same mindset on how the business should develop. We appreciate each other and the role we all have to play in a client’s journey. I think this is reflected in the service we offer, which is always client-focused.
Outside of work I have a young daughter who keeps me very busy. I tend to start each day at the gym, and spend a lot of time with my family and friends, including the odd game of football.
