Our team here at Harrisons have a really clear ethos. We want to change the perception of estate agency. Unfortunately, and frustratingly, we are an untrusted profession. We want to prove that we couldn’t be further from that – and we are achieving it, one client at a time.
Do you remember the child who wouldn’t stop talking in class? Yes, that was me! Although school wasn’t my forte, I’d always had an inner drive. My ambition was to go into the police, then the fire brigade – but there was a 3-year waiting list.
In 2004, my auntie told me about a job at Harrisons; I applied – and I got it. I’m naturally ambitious, I set myself goals and always seek to work my way to the top – I had my sights firmly fixed on doing the best I could for my clients. By 2019, I was the owner and director of Harrison’s.
I’m blessed to have a lovely wife who is very supportive and three gorgeous kids, one boy aged 3, a girl coming up to 2 years and another little girl born July 2021. So, as you can imagine, my home-life is as busy as my work! Successfully establishing a work-life balance is a constant challenge, but with my incredible team who all share and are committed to my vision, it’s improving.
I am an enthusiastic, uplifting character and think my passion for customer service and people is evident to see. I have worked in customer service focused business’ since the age of 14 and always thrived off this. I give my very best for our customers and love seeing them fulfilled with the service they have received.
I have a passion for design and interiors and really can envisage the potential in properties. Me and my partner would love to buy and renovate properties one day. As for now, I enjoy walking with my dog and spending lots of time with family.
I am currently in the process of my life where I am aiming to build a career that will fulfil my interests and skill set, but also somewhere that I can grow and build myself. This is the perfect fit for me at a company like Harrisons.
I’ve always had a passion for marketing and supporting small independent businesses. After seeing there was an opportunity within estate agency to offer clients an alternative way to market their homes, without the reliance on property portals such as Rightmove and Zoopla, I successfully set up my own estate agency in 2017 in Faversham which went on to be awarded Faversham Business Of The Year in 2019 by The Swale Business Awards.
After a change in circumstances in 2020, I realised I was well and truly bitten by the estate agency bug. I met Chris from Harrisons and we instantly realised we shared a similar ethos in terms of changing the way people view estate agents and how we believe agency focus on people and delivering an outstanding service.
Since joining the Harrisons team, we have worked hard supporting the community, as well as offering an outstanding service to our clients. I’m particularly proud of the charity work and collaborations we have set up supporting other local businesses, for which we have gone on to win more industry awards.
Outside of work, you’ll find I’m very much involved in the local community, organising events, running community groups and shop local initiatives. I also have a passion for local history, photography and enjoy spending time on my allotment and with my husband and two daughters.
OK, so I am the old girl of the firm! But may it never be said ‘past it’. I still have the ambition to produce the goods now as when I was first employed in this industry over 25 years ago. My ambition is to always give you the best service possible and to keep you all informed of your sale or purchase.
I was originally employed as an Admin Assistant for a competitor, moving onto become their sale progressor. Then on leaving there I had a short period of working for a haulage firm which I did not have much enthusiasm for. Then I was employed again by Harrisons Residential as Senior Sales Negotiator. After a period of time I was offered a position as a conveyancing assistant for a local solicitor which I enjoyed, as it completed my knowledge of the Residential sales process. After the market crashed in 2007 I was made redundant from there. I then filled my time with gardening, keep fit, and small part time jobs. Eventually returning to Harrisons Homes with Chris who I had loosely worked with before. He must have thought his luck had changed when I walked through the door with my immense amount of knowledge within the industry I was snapped up.
As you read this I dare say you can see my sense of humor coming through in this position you need it!! I can honestly say that I have been a shoulder to cry on, someone to moan at, someone that is always there to help. Someone reliable. This is what I love about my job. I am just…there!
My journey into the world of property started at school when, at around age 11 or 12 I was assigned to an estate agency for my work experience placement. I loved it and decided that becoming a surveyor was my ultimate goal.
Harrison’s is not like other estate agents. Here we are a family; we get on so well and have the same mindset on how the business should develop. We appreciate each other and the role we all have to play in a client’s journey. I think this is reflected in the service we offer, which is always client-focused.
Outside of work I have a young daughter who keeps me very busy. I tend to start each day at the gym, and spend a lot of time with my family and friends, including the odd game of football.
I have always worked within customer service, starting off as cabin crew for Hoverspeed, moving on to working for Santander for 7 years.
I love being around people and have always had a great ability to sell.
I have been married for 13 years, I have 3 wonderful boys , George 10, Oliver 7, and Dougie 3. The boys love football so we spend a lot of time in the garden and park.
In my spare time I love spending time with my friends, having weekend and evening out drinking good wine and eating great food.
I love to travel and spent several years living in Croatia, I am always thinking about my next adventure.
